Yes, I did actually come home. And the first thing on order? Another plane trip! After arriving in Chicago on the coldest day of the year (after leaving 80 degree Sydney) I headed off to Arizona for a few days of sun and visiting the family. Then once I was back in Chicago for good, the real work began - unpacking, unpacking, organizing, unpacking, laundry and more unpacking. Whew. I'm ALMOST done after 4 straight days of nothing else.
It's quite the luxury to be able to write this from my couch instead of an internet cafe where I was always aware of the time and money ticking away.
I'll be looking back over my pictures in the next few days and may write another blog entry with other thoughts on the trip, but after that I'll be wrapping up the increasingly ill-named 2007 blog. Thanks for reading!
